The Daihatsu Copen - a Suzuki Cappuccino for the 21st century? Britain's cheapest roadster has been given a massive engine boost, after Daihatsu chopped the 660cc engine in the Copen for a 1.3 twin-cam. The Copen was conceived under Japan's K-car rules for short micro cars with engines under 0.7 litres, and its right-hand drive status meant it was imported to the UK market.
Video-game maker Codemasters is back in the news today, this time with its next driving game for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The trailer for “Grid Autosport” appeared on YouTube on Tuesday, and it looks like the company is going back to its beginnings. From the trailer and interviews at videogamer.com, we can see that nearly every shot features real racetracks and race cars.

The Mercedes SLK 55 AMG, which was revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show, is to cost £54,950 in the UK. The 2012 Mercedes SLK AMG 55 was revealed just before the Frankfurt Motor Show, and Mercedes told us it would go on sale in the UK in early 2012. So it’s a good job they’ve finally managed to come up with a price for the new SLK 55 AMG so at least UK buyers will finally know what they’ve got to stump up – £54,950.
